Mi nombre es Angelika Rütgen-Dömötör, soy austriaca, y tengo 42 años. Actualmente vivo con mi esposo y mis tres hijos (11, 9, 4 años) en Barcelona. Trabajo como periodista independiente y escribo informes para revistas y textos para websites sobre una amplia variedad de temas. Desde nuestra llegada a Barcelona, también he estado escribiendo un blog privado en el que plasmo nuestras experiencias e impresiones de España y su gente.
Como la mayoría de las personas, la pandemia me sorprendió por completo y subestimé totalmente estos desarrollos. Para mí, como una "niña de paz", que crecí en prosperidad y seguridad en el corazón de Europa, la pandemia con todas sus consecuencias representa la mayor crisis privada y profesional de mi vida. La idea de "DETRÁS DE CADA CIFRA HAY UNA CARA" nació en mis paseos por Barcelona. Por el momento, tenemos una cosa en común con todas las personas con las que uno se encuentra en la calle: esta crisis por la que tenemos que pasar, que nos ha llevado a una situación que ninguno de nosotros había experimentado o era capaz de anticipar. Estamos viviendo un momento colectivo surrealista y doloroso. Sin embargo, todos ven la crisis a través de sus experiencias personales, moldeados por sus circunstancias individuales. Con "DETRÁS DE CADA CIFRA HAY UNA CARA" me gustaría presentar estos sentimientos, impresiones y opiniones.La cara detrás de este proyecto
My name is Angelika Rütgen-Dömötör, I am Austrian, 42 years old. At the moment I am living in Barcelona with my husband and three children (11, 9, 4 years old). I work as a freelance editorial journalist and write features and texts for magazines and websites on all sorts of different topics. Since our arrival in Barcelona I have been keeping a private blog on our experiences and impressions of Spain and its inhabitants here.
Like most other people I was completely taken by surprise by the extent of the pandemic and had totally underrated the speed and ferocity of its evolvement. For me, as a "peace-time-child", who grew up in prosperity and safety in the heart of Europe, the pandemic and all its consequences poses the biggest private and professional crisis of my life. The idea to "DETRÁS DE CADA CIFRA HAY UNA CARA" came to me while walking the streets of Barcelona. At the moment, we have one crucial thing in common with everybody we come across in the street: This crisis that we have to endure, that has brought us into a situation that none of us had ever experienced before. As a collective, we are experiencing a surreal, painful time. Nevertheless, the way each person copes is influenced by their personal, individual circumstances. I want to show these perceptions, emotions and opinions with "DETRÁS DE CADA CIFRA HAY UNA CARA".
